Basaltica, Gambellara, Veneto

Basaltica is a young and super promising project born out of the passion of the three friends Federico, Matteo and Junior.
Renowned for its deep volcanic minerality and great aging potential, Garganega is too often vinified in dull, conventional fashion. The Basaltica boys not only work naturally in the vineyard and cellar but have chosen both for their still and most unusually (with amazing results) for their petnat, to always macerate Garganega for 1-3 weeks, extracting the spirit and soul of the grape from the skins and giving light to wines of bright expressiveness and real depth.
It should also be noted that, aside from their vineyards, they’re also contributing to giving value to their terroir by buying at a higher price Garganega grapes from farmers that work naturally.

These wines are refreshing and have a beautiful minerality with nice fruit and high drinkability.
